You Deserve A Crown

We offer natural-looking crowns in Cypress to match your teeth...

Most dentistry looks like dentistry, but our goal is to provide dentistry that won't be detectable. We replace existing fillings and crowns with restorations that are just like your own teeth. Where damage to someone’s teeth is extreme and beyond repair, we can use porcelain or porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns to make the smile look new. This is a very reliable technique for repairing the most severe dental problems, even permanently replacing missing teeth to offer a complete smile and functional bite. We are renowned for the quality of our work and the changes we make for people using this technology. These treatments are used for a long-lasting correction of major dental problems.

A Little Time For A Lot Of Benefits

The time spent in our chair is well worth the benefits of a dental crown...

Placing your crown requires at least two visits to our office. At the first visit, we will remove decay, shape the tooth, and fit it with a temporary crown. On the second visit, we will remove the temporary crown, fit and adjust the final crown, and then cement it into place. Now you have a new beautiful tooth. Dental crowns replace lost or extracted teeth, offer support to misshapen or badly broken teeth, fix functional chewing problems, and look completely natural. It is customary for these crowns to last for 20 to 30 years, which is as close to permanent as dental work can get.

Dental Crown Options

You have many options when choosing your dental crown...

All Porcelain

In general, porcelain dental crowns combine durability and aesthetics, resulting in a natural-looking dental crown that can last for up to 15 years. With good care, they can last more than 20 or 25 years. All-porcelain crowns allow for the most realistic appearance, closely matching your teeth, so they easily blend in with the rest of your smile.

PFM

Porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns have a porcelain exterior that covers a sturdier metal base underneath. In this way, they can maintain a natural appearance while better resisting the daily stresses placed on your mouth, including chewing, mealtimes, and dental trauma. PFM crowns can last 20 or more years with proper care and maintenance.

Mixed Metals

Metal crowns are usually made of a mixture of compound metals, including silver, chromium, nickel, palladium, and platinum. While they don’t look natural, they trade aesthetics for strength and durability. Crowns made of metal are highly resistant to cracking and chipping, and they can withstand more pressure and force. Metal crowns normally last up to 30 years.

Gold

These are the longest-lasting crowns, even compared to other metal crowns. Gold is just as strong as other metals while wearing down at the same rate as natural enamel. This allows these crowns to easily last more than 40 years to a lifetime with good care.

The Capabilities of Crowns

Dental crowns do a lot more than make your teeth look nice...

Crowns and bridgework are very reliable solutions for major dental problems caused by accidents, diseases, or wear and tear. Major problems can usually be corrected using these techniques. The material used in these repairs is either high-grade porcelain or porcelain bonded to metal. More robust porcelain and metal materials are recommended to treat the most serious of dental problems. Where accidental damage has happened resulting in lost teeth, where teeth have broken away through excessive wear, or as a result of old fillings breaking, crowns or bridges can be used as a long-term solution.

Many people have pain from filled back teeth, usually due to hairline cracks on the chewing surface of the tooth. Crowning these teeth can relieve the pain and allow the return of full dental function.. In front teeth, older fillings can both weaken the teeth and cause appearance problems. Porcelain crowns and bridges are suitable in cases where porcelain veneers are not. In a tooth with root canal treatment, crowns can prevent breakage. The Doctors Are Just Stellar
Natalie R.

The sweetest people work here, I'm convinced! The ladies at the front desk always go out of their way to be kind and helpful, the hygienists listen to your concerns and will address them to their best ability, and the doctors are just stellar. I drive over 40 min from where I live to go here because it's rare to find a dental office this fantastic.

They Are So Efficient
Gordon A.

This is the best dentist I have been to and I have been to several. The team is professional and welcoming. They are never over-booked and I have never waited more than 5 minutes in the lobby. They are so efficient, no matter what I go in for, I am out in 45 minutes or less. I highly recommend Cypress Family Dental.

They Truly Care
Tina E.

The dentist and his staff are wonderful people! In the past, I have had horrible experiences at other dentist offices and then I found this place and I don't think I would ever go anywhere else again. I live about 45 min away from their office but the drive is well worth it. They truly care about their patients. I would recommend this office to anyone.

The Staff Did A Great Job
David L.

Came to Cypress Family Dental a year ago for my sleep apnea device. No more snoring! The staff did a great job fitting me for this oral appliance. Better yet, they were there to support me when I needed some adjustments later on. The front office staff couldn't have been more accommodating to schedule me in. Easy to recommend.

They're All Top Notch
Julie C.

I'm so happy to have found this awesome dentist with an awesome staff. I am completely confident in the doctor's skill level, and completely comfortable relying on him to work on me without allowing me to experience unnecessary pain. In addition to having a good relationship with the dentist, being able to relate with the office staff is equally important to me. From the hygienist to the dental assistants to the front desk, they're all top notch.
