In addition to general dental procedures like cleanings and fillings, we’re proud to offer teeth whitening services- an easy, convenient way for you to reinvigorate your smile. At Cypress Family Dental, we offer three distinct forms of pro teeth whitening.

The first teeth whitening procedure we offer is ZOOM! in-office whitening. ZOOM! whitening requires an appointment and the procedure takes around an hour. The way ZOOM! works is that the dentist will apply a protective gel to your gums before applying a special bleaching agent to your teeth. After the bleaching agent is applied, the dentist turns on a special blue light that activates the chemicals in the bleaching agent, making your teeth up to eight shades whiter after one visit. The effects of ZOOM! are long-lasting, too. Our patients report that their new bright white smile lasts up to four years after their procedure.

The second method of pro teeth whitening we offer is our take-home teeth whitening kits. This is one of two forms of professional teeth whitening we offer that can be performed at home. The take-home kit is specially made for your mouth after we take impressions of your teeth. It comes with special trays and a whitening gel, and once a day, you will fill the trays with gel and insert them into your mouth. The last option we offer is whitening strips that simply have to be applied to your teeth and removed after the specified amount of time. No matter which option you choose, we guarantee you won’t find better teeth whitening products anywhere else.

At Cypress Family Dental, each method of teeth whitening we offer utilizes essentially the same technique– a hydrogen-peroxide-based bleaching agent to penetrate the dentin and remove stains, plaque, and discoloration, leaving teeth shining and brilliant. The main difference is how long each procedure takes and the exact method of delivery. For a ZOOM! in-office treatment, we’ll sit you down for about an hour-long appointment and use a high-grade, extra-strength formula that delivers incredible results in one easy visit. After just one appointment, you’ll walk away with a brand new smile– and you can rest assured knowing we’ll bring our expertise to make the procedure as safe and effective as possible.

Take-home solutions are often just as effective, but they use a lower-strength formula and take more time. For take-home whitening trays, we’ll first take impressions of your teeth and then create custom trays designed to fit over your teeth. You’ll receive a special whitening gel, and once per day, you’ll fill the trays with the gel and insert them for 30 minutes. After a week or two, you’ll have a gorgeous new smile! White strips work much the same way, but instead of using trays filled with an agent, the bleaching agent is already infused into the strip– so all you have to do is apply them and remove them when the time is up.
