What Are The Different Types Of Cosmetic Dentistry?

Modern cosmetic dentistry has many solutions for correcting crooked, discolored, chipped, pitted, misaligned, or gapped teeth. Dental cosmetics are medical procedures that enhance the overall look of your teeth, leading to an attractive smile. Although this is a non-essential area of dentistry, fixing the look of your teeth may positively impact your oral health. The straightening and correction of your teeth might allow you to eat and drink more comfortably. How Can I Get My Teeth Back To Where They Used To Be? Cosmetic dental procedures are available in a variety of forms, including the following: Tooth Bonding This is the least expensive and most straightforward treatment available. Tooth decay and chipped teeth are among the many minor dental ailments that may be repaired with this procedure. To begin, your dentist will match the color of the bonding chemical to the shade of your natural teeth. The dentist then applies the composite to the damaged region. The composite is shaped so that the healed area seems faultless and natural. To prepare for applying a bonding agent, the damaged and decaying region of the tooth will be shaved down by the dentist. Inlays and Onlays Filling a decayed tooth with a composite resin is a common technique. Supporting teeth, restoring their form, and preventing additional decay and damage to the dental structure are all functions of inlays and onlays Dental Veneers These are porcelain shells that have been sculpted just for you. The front of a tooth is covered with a dental veneer, which is fabricated in a lab and then cemented in place. Dental veneers may conceal a wide range of flaws in a person's smile, including chips, crookedness, discoloration, and gaps between teeth. Only those teeth that can be seen when you smile are often treated.

Teeth Whitening This is a very common operation in the field of aesthetic dentistry. Having your teeth whitened or bleached at your dentist's office is simple. Before beginning this operation, your dentist will first remove any plaque, tartar, and food particles from your mouth. This technique may considerably improve the brightness of your teeth, which have been dulled by food stains, pharmaceutical side effects, and smoking. Tooth Crowns Plaster, acrylic, or ceramic crowns are used for these dental restorations. Dental crowns cover dental implants and replace missing, fractured, or decaying teeth. Tooth Implants Dental implants are a long-term solution for missing teeth, whether due to trauma or natural wear and tear. Inserting a metal screw-like post in place of the lost tooth's root maintains the dental crown throughout this surgery. How Do Veneers Work? Dental veneers, also known as porcelain veneers or dental laminates, are thin, custom-made, tooth-colored materials that cover the front surface of teeth. Color, form, size, or length may all be altered by applying them to the front of the teeth.

Do Clear Aligners Really Work? It is possible to straighten teeth using clear aligners, and in many situations, they are equally successful as conventional braces. Because of the exact tension these plastic trays provide to teeth, transparent aligners may sometimes give speedier therapy than braces. However, there are certain drawbacks to using clear aligners. These devices are ineffective when correcting orthodontic disorders caused by inadequate jaw alignment. Clear aligners are most effective when the patient's teeth are misaligned due to their location. Rigid aligner trays provide gentle but steady stress on the patient's teeth, gradually realigning them. Unlike conventional metal braces, these aligner trays may be replaced as required. Because they may take them out to dine or brush their teeth, patients can minimize the effect of the therapy on their daily routine. With transparent aligners, that is another fantastic perk. Patients should wear their aligners for at least 20 hours each day to get the greatest outcomes. At the start of treatment, a computer model of a patient's teeth is created using digital photos. The patient's aligner trays may be constructed due to this model. Before moving on to the next set of aligners in the series, patients wear their current set for two weeks before switching to the next pair in a series. The patient's teeth will move closer to the final position wanted as the treatment progresses. In most cases, clear aligner therapy lasts a year. Generally, minor difficulties may be resolved in six months. In contrast, more serious alignment concerns can take as long as two years. What Is Cosmetic Teeth Whitening? Cosmetic teeth whitening may be defined as the process of lightening the color of teeth for aesthetic purposes. Dental whitening (or bleaching) is an easy and effective technique to brighten your smile without the need for invasive procedures or a trip to the dentist's office. People who desire whiter teeth only for aesthetic reasons have many possibilities. The best way to whiten teeth is to use a home tooth whitening solution for most people. Only natural tooth enamel will be whitened by teeth whitening methods. Thus it's essential to look into the possibility of replacing any old filling or crowns. After bleaching, any restorations that don't match the newly bleached teeth may be replaced. Whitening your teeth is not a long-term solution. If you smoke and consume coffee, tea, or wine, you may need a touch-up every few years.

They're All Top Notch
Julie C.

I'm so happy to have found this awesome dentist with an awesome staff. I am completely confident in the doctor's skill level, and completely comfortable relying on him to work on me without allowing me to experience unnecessary pain. In addition to having a good relationship with the dentist, being able to relate with the office staff is equally important to me. From the hygienist to the dental assistants to the front desk, they're all top notch.

They Are So Efficient
Gordon A.

This is the best dentist I have been to and I have been to several. The team is professional and welcoming. They are never over-booked and I have never waited more than 5 minutes in the lobby. They are so efficient, no matter what I go in for, I am out in 45 minutes or less. I highly recommend Cypress Family Dental.

The Staff Did A Great Job
David L.

Came to Cypress Family Dental a year ago for my sleep apnea device. No more snoring! The staff did a great job fitting me for this oral appliance. Better yet, they were there to support me when I needed some adjustments later on. The front office staff couldn't have been more accommodating to schedule me in. Easy to recommend.

They Truly Care
Tina E.

The dentist and his staff are wonderful people! In the past, I have had horrible experiences at other dentist offices and then I found this place and I don't think I would ever go anywhere else again. I live about 45 min away from their office but the drive is well worth it. They truly care about their patients. I would recommend this office to anyone.

The Doctors Are Just Stellar
Natalie R.

The sweetest people work here, I'm convinced! The ladies at the front desk always go out of their way to be kind and helpful, the hygienists listen to your concerns and will address them to their best ability, and the doctors are just stellar. I drive over 40 min from where I live to go here because it's rare to find a dental office this fantastic.
